The plot of Silent Hill 3 closely intertwined with the events about which narrated in the first part of the cult series, while it does not tied to the second part, except for the scene. The game is built around an ordinary seventeen year old girl named Heather, who is the adopted daughter Harry Mason, at the beginning of the game awakens from a terrible nightmare. But it was only a dream - and here the heroine sits quietly in the cafe and admiring the reddish glow of sunset. She hurries home, where it waits for a father who is worried about her.

Heather calls her father on the phone and promises to return soon. But then something strange starts and worst - just after a conversation begins to obsessively pursue her old detective, assured that someone wants to talk to her. Heather did not have time to look and how the world around her, to which she was accustomed to, is heading for hell, and she is all alone in the pitch darkness with only a small flashlight, a dull hack centuries of darkness ... She is a long way to the bloody and covered with dust enmeshed secrets. So, with it the same way you do and ... The game does not bring a cult status throughout the series, eagerly shaking the characters, plot, and profoundly in many aspects, not visible at first sight ...
